Description

The paper "Product Development Process for complex hardware-based solutions: current trends" aims to identify emerging approaches that have already demonstrated sufficient adequacy to support complex hardware design processes. A systematic literature review method was applied, focusing on approaches to reducing lead time, reducing costs, or improving user satisfaction. This dataset complements the study offering: - A dataset detailing the journals, rankings and number of citations of the papers selected in the literature review - A document, following PRISMA´s method guidelines, indicating where are the main information of the study

Steps to reproduce

This study followed PRISMA´s statements for literature reviews. Searches were conducted in the Institute of Scientific Information (ISI) Web of Science database. The search string used was: ((hardware development) OR (physical product development) OR (mechatronic* development)) AND (("lead time") OR (cost* reduct*) OR ("customer* satisfaction")).
