Description

This study presents a comprehensive time-domain dataset for the NREL 5MW reference wind turbine mounted on the OC4-DeepCwind semi-submersible platform, generated using the aero-hydro-servo-elastic simulation framework, OpenFAST (National Renewable Energy Laboratory). To run the models, the wind, wave, and current extremes are obtained by using the ocean environmental conditions of a selected point in the Northern Aegean Sea. To assess and separate the impact of distinct and combined environmental forces, a systematic matrix of load cases was created, which included wind-only (Wi), wave-only (Wa), current-only (Cu), and their combinations (WaWi, WaCu, and WaWiCu). In order to determine the statistical uncertainty associated with short-term environmental changes, 10 random phase realizations (seeds) were utilized in simulated load cases that involved irregular waves.
