This cross-sectional study compared pressure distribution between recreational dancers and age-matched healthy controls of ages between 18 and 28 years. Static plantar pressure was assessed in one hundred participants using the Harris mat/Podiascan system. Recreational dancers showed higher plantar loading, suggesting dance-related adapations in foot biomechanics.
