Description
The LeptoSurvival database contains a total of 1206 survival values of leptospires (distributed into 21 serogroups) in 5 different environments (culture medium, filtrate water, soil, urine, water).

Steps to reproduce
The “LeptoSurvival” database results from the literature search conducted from October 4 to 24, 2024 in Medline (PubMed) and Google Scholar databases. The phrase “[Leptospir* AND (survival OR persistence OR viability OR virulence)]” was used for the search in all databases. All articles published from January 1st 1948 to October 24th 2024 were included in the analysis. Articles using experiments to evaluate the duration of known Leptospira strain survival under described environmental conditions (at least temperature or pH) with specified techniques and quantitative results were selected. A further selection was achieved using tree search by looking into articles of interest cited in selected articles with the same inclusion criterions.
