Description

This dataset contains the de-identified physiological data underlying the study *"Acute and Overnight Reorganization of Cardiovascular-Autonomic Regulation in Water-Polo Players: A Controlled-Breathing Study."* Twenty-one male professional water-polo players were assessed on 28 occasions. On each occasion, non-invasive spiroarteriocardiorhythmography (SACR) was recorded at three timepoints — before a habitual training session, immediately after, and the next morning — each under up to three breathing conditions (spontaneous, slow paced at 6 breaths·min⁻¹, and paced at 15 breaths·min⁻¹), giving eight recording states per occasion (paced-15 was not recorded immediately after training).
