Description

In a prospective continuous cohort study, the frequency of non-suicidal self-harm among hospitalized adolescent girls was analyzed. Over a two-year period (from 09/01/22 to 09/01/24), medical records of all minor patients were collected and analyzed, of which the target group of the study were female patients aged 12-17 years admitted to the inpatient facility of the Specialized Psychoneurological Hospital of Krasnodar Krai. Target group: female hospitalized patients aged 12 to 17 years, inclusive. Stable mental state at the time of examination, presence of documented cases of self-harm in the inpatient medical record corresponding to the criteria of the "Statistical and Diagnostic Manual of Mental Disorders" (DSM-5). Patients already included in the study who were re-hospitalized to the institution during the study period are included and analyzed once. Exclusion criteria Patients whose auto-aggressive behavior is caused by an acute psychotic disorder or another medical condition (e.g. autism spectrum disorders, mental retardation when auto-aggression is part of a pattern of repetitive stereotypies, stereotypical movement disorder with self-harm, trichotillomania, etc.). Mental retardation when the patient cannot answer the questions of the methods used. Patients who refused to participate in the study, or the refusal of a legal representative to participate in the study of a patient under 15 years of age. Selection of participants into groups: All admitted patients who met the inclusion criteria were offered to participate in the study. The target sample of girls aged 12–17 years ultimately comprised 186 individuals, recruited from 693 patients in this cohort (345 in the first year and 348 in the second year of observation) admitted to the hospital over 2 years. All admitted patients who met the inclusion criteria were invited to participate in the study. A total of 194 individuals met the inclusion criteria, 8 patients were excluded due to refusal to participate. The results of the general group of All patients are available in the Related data set's [link's below] and presented in the publication [link below], which will allow the data to be systematized for further study by interested and competent researchers, as well as to be used to form summary analytical studies on issues of medical activity for statistical and scientific purposes. This dataset will gradually present the results of the processing of the target group data. Version 1 presents clinical and social data of the group. As scientific articles are published, data will be added to the set.
