Description

40Ar/39Ar K-feldspar step-heating age spectrum for sample WKC-00-52, multi diffusion domain data, and thermal history modeling information to accompany article 'Vestiges of the ancient: Deep-time noble gas thermochronology' in Elements journal 'Noble Gas Thermochronology' issue vol. 16 no. 6 for October 2020 publication. Sample WKC-00-52 is from "The Falls" Ancient Gneiss Complex (AGC), northwest of Piggs Peak (banded gneiss from block containing sheath fold). Location Latitude: 25°54.585' Longitude: 31°18.180' Folders include the raw and reduced (Ar-Ar Calc) argon step-heat data, Arvert model source code files, Arvert model thermal history results and output (in iterative stages), and diffusion domain information for Kaapvaal and Athabasca samples. Athabasca data and information were previously released in McDannell (2017) https://preserve.lehigh.edu/etd/2721/ K-feldspar 40Ar/39Ar data were generated at the Lehigh University Noble Gas Laboratory supervised by Dr. Peter K. Zeitler and Dr. Bruce D. Idleman. Arvert modeling software written by Peter K. Zeitler.
