Riverbank line migration dynamics and channel evolution processes alongthe Tarim River in China

Description

This dataset covers the Tarim River's main stream (1321 km) from 1993–2023, including: 1) 7 Landsat images (TM/ETM+, 5 - year intervals) and 2023 UAV imagery (0.06 m resolution) for river boundary extraction (UAV - validated, RMSE = 21.153 m); 2) riverbank migration rates (via 192 cross - sections, 5 km spacing) and channel evolution metrics (sediment/erosion areas, migration velocity); 3) channel - forming discharge (Pearson - III distribution) and its nonlinear relationship with migration rates (GaussAmp fitting, R² = 0.769); 4) human - activity impacts (ecological water conveyance, engineering). It supports analyzing the Tarim River's channel dynamics and anthropogenic influences.
