The dataset contains hourly observations of the top 100 most played titles on the Steam platform (store.steampowered.com), collected via the Steam Web API (developers.valvesoftware.com/steam_web_api) between May 11th, 2018 and March 14th, 2019. It contains the following variables: -title: a given game's title -current_players: total concurrent players at moment of collection -peak_players: peak concurrent players of the day at moment of collection -hours_played: total concurrent players at moment of collection -hour: hour of collection (24h cycle) -day: day of collection -rank: relative ranking as measured by concurrent player count
