Description

The database contains micrographs depicting production technological and use-wear traces of Late Bronze Age (Br B2 - Br D) rapiers from the Hungarian river section of the Danube and Transdanubia. The images were made by a János Gábor Tarbay, using a Toolcraft DigiMicro mobile camera and a Bresser 1080P digital microscope. Additional data was provided by the second author, Balázs Lukács, who supplied images made by a VHX-5000 Keyence microscope, and consultation on the Kisapostag (No. 7) and Keszthely (No. 13) rapiers. The current databse is a supplementary material for the draft titled 'Bronze Age rapiers from Transdanubia and the Hungarian River Section of the Danube'. The research data were gathered in the framework of Project No. 134910. Project No. 134910 (The Technology, Use, and Manipulation of Weapons from the Late Bronze Age Transdanubia) has been implemented with the support by the National Research, Development, and Innovation Fund of Hungary, financed under the PD_20 funding scheme.
