Description

The dataset comprises 7167 JPEG images of Sorghum diseases, intended to support research in agricultural disease detection and plant pathology. Sorghum, a flowering plant in the grass family cultivated for its grain, faces various diseases that can impact crop yield and quality. The dataset includes images of five major diseases: Anthracnose and Red Rot, Cereal Grain Molds, Covered Kernel Smut, Head Smut, Loose Smut, and Rust, each characterized by distinct symptoms such as leaf spots, mold growth, and pustules on leaves and stems. This collection is valuable for plant pathologists, agricultural researchers, and machine learning practitioners aiming to develop automated disease detection models, as well as for educational purposes in plant sciences and agriculture.
