Mineral compositions, major element concentrations, geochemical pyrolysis, and wireline logging curves were measured for the Lower Cretaceous (Middle Aption-Early Albian) Shahezi Formation rocks, which were recovered by the JLYY1 borehole in the southeastern Songliao Basin for continental shale gas resource exploration.
