Description

Data were collected at two World Heritage sites, Yongding earth buildings (also called Yongding tulou) and Kaiping watchtowers (also called Kaiping Diaolou) and villages, respectively. At Yongding earth buildings, the main study was conducted during 12-16 July 2017, also a low tourism season. Considering that tourists arrive around 9:30 a.m. and leave around 5:00 p.m., the research team conducted the survey from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at different rest areas, including teahouses and places shaded by trees or building overhangs. In total, 400 questionnaires were distributed, of which 365 were deemed usable. At Kaping watchtowers, data were collected during 5-8 April 2019, when is the Tomb Sweeping Festival in China. Similar data collection techniques as Yongding were employed. Of 450 questionnaires distributed, 396 was used for data analysis. Factor analysis is firstly conducted by SPSS 19.0, then the measurement model and structural model are analyzed using AMOS 21.0.Meanwhile, the analysis of mediation effect is conducted through PROCESS.
