The present study aimed to evaluate the Brazilian consumer's ecological footprint and the awareness of sustainability in the clothing production stages using data mining technique. A questionnaire was developed to evaluate the Ecological Footprint of clothing consumers, including questions about apparel acquired and the level of knowledge about the lifestyle, and sustainability. Questions were adapted from the Ecological Footprint concept (GFN, n/d). The questions were related to gender, level of education, income, amount of money spent in clothes, a way of transport, general data on lifestyle, energy expenditure, means of transportation, amongst other which tell the consumer consciousness for impacting the environment. The online questionnaire, developed in Google Docs, was sent using internet tools (emails and social networks).
