Description

The six data files contain all data used for statistical analyses in this research. The file “Faunal composition (aquatic communities)” contains mean densities of clam shrimp, mayfly nymph and water boatmen on 35 bedding planes from two excavation sites. The file “Faunal composition (terrestrial insects)” contains the composition of terrestrial insects from 11 levels (north site). The file “Fossil preservation” contains data from 9 levels (north site). The preservation quality of terrestrial insects is classified into five taphonomic grades. The exact number of individuals per grade is recorded by taxon in this file. The file “Plan-view orientation” contains data from 9 bedding planes of the north site. The plan-view orientations of aquatic insects are classified into 6 segments. The number of individuals per segment is recorded in this file. The file “Clam shrimp size” contains the individual size of 3869 clam shrimp collected from 19 bedding planes. The file “Clam shrimp size & growth band crowding” contains data of 106 individuals from 4 bedding planes. The presence or absence of growth band crowding and individual size are recorded in this file.
