Behavioral and EEG data from a unimodal auditory experiment investigating distractor-induced deafness (DID). Participants completed a rapid serial auditory presentation (RSAP) task in which an auditory cue signaled the onset of an auditory target embedded in a stream of preceding auditory distractors. Visual stimulation was also present but constant and task-irrelevant. Experimental factors include 'distractor number' (0, 1, 3–4, 5–6) and 'cue–target SOA' (0 ms vs. 300 ms), as well as 'target presence' (present vs. absent). Raw EEG recordings, preprocessed data, and trial-wise behavioral responses are provided. Aggregated data files and a detailed README file describing file structure and variable coding are included.
