Description

These are data used in our manuscript entitled, "Controlling factors of methane dynamics in tropical meromictic lakes of different depths" which is submitted to the Journal of Geophysical Research: Biogeosciences. We observed temporal trends in methane (CH4) stored in the water columns of three Philippine lakes of different depths (shallow, moderately deep, and deep). We collected water samples, at various depths of lakes Yambo (0, 5, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 m), Pandin (0, 5, 15, 30, 40, 50, and 60 m), and Calibato (0, 5, 15, 40, 60, 80, 100, and 125 m) using a Niskin water sampler (General Oceanics, Miami, FL, USA), from April 2018 to February 2019, and measured dissolved CH4 concentrations using the procedure of Itoh et al. (2015). We also monitored the vertical profiles of various physicochemical parameters, including water temperature (○C), dissolved oxygen (DO; mg L–1), and conductivity (μs cm–1) using a multi-parameter sonde (Exo1, YSI Inc., USA). Weather parameters were
