Description

The dataset consists of tree-ring measurements from eight structural elements of a mid-16th century English chest. In addition to those series there are two average series: one is the average of the series derived from the right side board and the back board, as they originate from the same tree; and the other one is the average of the three bottom boards, which also derive from another tree. The research on the chest is published in the article: Dendrochronological analysis of an English chest: contributing to knowledge about wood supply and chest production in 16th century England (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.dendro.2021.125828). Tree-ring results are presented on Table 1 in that article. This Table has also been uploaded here for clarity.
