Description
This dataset is curated ABS and Department of Home Affairs datasets focusing on Net Migration, Employment and Free Time Activity Rates. This data was used for a University Assignment titled: Mass Immigration theory: Is Australia really under threat of losing it's Cultural Identity - 26 February 2026. Datasets come with initial Visualizations. All data has come from Australian Government Organizations with Creative Commons Copyright licensing (4.0) . Datasets was created from these original data sources: - Australian Bureau of Statistics, Labour Force, Australia December 2025 - Department of Home Affairs, Migration Trends Statistical packages, 2016-17 and 2004-25 - Australian Bureau of Statistics, How Australians use their time 2024 - Australian Bureau of Statistics, Overseas Migration All efforts have been made that the data has been prepared and analyzed and cited correctly at the time of publishing.

Steps to reproduce
All work generated through MS Excel spread sheets. The data has been curated, summarized and condensed to suit a particular task - that being creating a data story using migration and labor force data. Simple analysis techniques were used to average, total, and find percentages. Data was sent into initial visualizations for use in the Data story. It is recommended that the source data points (i.e. the Australian Bureau of Statistics, and the Australian Department of Home Affairs) be read in conjunction with this dataset for accuracy of the data in it's raw context.
