The Death of a Regulator: Strict Supervision, Bank Lending, and Business Activity

Description

We include with this replication package all public datasets used in our analysis. We cannot share some commercial data, e.g., from BoardEx, used in the analysis. Thus, no private data files are included in the replication package. We still share the code that runs the analyses using these data and will make the private data files available for researchers who have permissions to work with them.

Steps to reproduce

Start with master.do, which is the parent do-file. Running this do-file will build the analysis datasets and reproduce all figures and tables from the paper.
