Description

This study enrolled 24 subjects at the Department of Orthopedic Surgery of Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital, Shanghai, China. Tibial nerves were collected during amputation surgeries in patients suffering from diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) or patients with traumatic limb amputation (TLA). Nerve samples isolated from TLA patients were set as control group. For single-cell RNA sequencing experiments, tibial nerves from donors (4 DPN patients, 3 TLA patients) were rapidly frozen on liquid nitrogen in the operating room and stored until tissue digestion. The sequencing data for 4 DPN samples were named as "DPN_Sample 1-4" and the sequencing data for 3 TLA samples were named as "TLA_Sample 1-3".
