Description

Fig. 7 presents the spectra of natural background acquired by a portable internal contamination monitor in 5 hours in the internal irradiation physics laboratory. Peaks of K-40 at 1460.8keV and Tl-208 at 2614keV are significant. The 6mm-Lead shield also reduced the count rate caused by the background radia-tion, especially in the low energy region. Fig.8 demonstrates the gamma spectral of sMBCAM acquired by a portable internal contamination monitor in natural environment. Peaks of artificial nuclides, including Cs-137 at 662keV, Y-88 at 898keV, Co-60 at 1173.2keV and 1332.5keV, are recognized easily.
