Monkeypox has been neglected tropic disease of western and central Africa since the early 70s.during May 2022, an unprecedent outbreak of monkeypox has included most of European country as well as north and south America. To know the Prevalence of psychological distress of getting affected with monkey pox among health care professionals. An online cross-sectional survey among 380 health care professionals age between 18 to 60 year was done across the country. Questionnaire assessed the psychological distress, knowledge, and awareness among health care professionals. Total of 380 individuals participated in the study. Out of total 52% are male and 47.9% female. Out of total 21.3% are anxious when encounter the patient affected with monkeypox and 36.8% get scared during treatment of patient affected with monkeypox and 32.1% healthcare know the how monkeypox virus spread and 60% reported it spread through droplet of infected person. The study concluded that the knowledge is less about the monkeypox virus among health care professionals and also less psychological stress because of a smaller number of cases present across the country.
