Krakow Contemporary Cultural Buildings. Results of the questionnaire survey of city residents' reception

The dataset contains results of a questionnaire survey among Krakow Residents. It aimed to study the perception of buildings of cultural facilities in the city and their surroundings. The author asked about 10 buildings on 9 sites are located in the area inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and its buffer zone The research was conducted in 2020 and 2021, so the author studied the cases during partial or complete COVID-19 lockdown. The research aimed to study which places are liked most (and least) and to see whether respondents like more the buildings with more greenery around, more public functions, the proper amount of space around, better public and ecological transport. It was conducted by PANI and then CAWI technique. The CAWI results were collected by survio.com (free version). The survey collected 173 responses. The questionnaire survey showed that residents like more buildings with green areas around and more characteristic. The MOS (Małopolski Ogród Sztuki) was rated best in categories of the most liked building and its surroundings, followed by Cricoteka and the Manggha Centre with the Far East Gallery. The respondets want to go inside when passing by and spend time around these facilities. The Krakow Opera and Auditorium Maximum were rated worst. Some of the buildings are less known to a wider audience. This is Czapski Pavilion.
