Data for: Provenance of the East Guangdong Basin and Yong'an Basin in the South China Block: Response to the Mesozoic Tectonic Regime Transformation
Description
Reflected and transmitted photomicrographs and cathodoluminescence (CL) images were taken of the zircon targets embedded in epoxy resin at Beijing Zirconia Navigation Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing, China. Zircon U-Pb isotopic dating was then conducted at Nanjing Normal University, Nanjing (NNU), China, and the State Key Laboratory of Continental Dynamics, Northwest University, Xi'an (SKLCD), China. Samples YAB-02, YAB-03, YAB-04, EGDB-05, and EGDB-06 were analysed at NNU using an Agilent 7700X ICP-MS system, while samples EGDB-01, EGDB-02, EGDB-03, EGDB-04, YAB-01, and YAB-05 were analysed at SKLCD using an Agilent 7500a ICP-MS system. The detailed operating process and data analysis methods were the same as those described by Yuan et al. (2004). When determining the zircon U-Pb ages, we used 206Pb/238U ages and 2σ values for zircon grains with ages younger than 1000 Ma and 207Pb/206Pb ages and 2σ values for zircon grains with ages older than 1000 Ma (Compston et al., 1992).
