Description

A nanoparticle is a material with ultra-fine aspects of dimensions in the nanoscale. Its one-of-a-kind material makes it a significant player in the efficient working of the latest technologies. The latest technologies also have a very hazardous effect which is proved by the widespread illicit use of homemade explosives (HME). Microwaves are a type of electromagnetic radiation that assist the synthesis process which can be tuned to yield desired size and shape of Ferrous Oxide (Fe₂O₃) Nanoparticles (NPs). The energy of microwaves is too low to directly activate or break molecular bonds. Using this chemical advantage, this research aims to develop a detector with the combination of Ferrous Oxide (Fe₂O₃) and Manganese Oxide (MnO₂) NPs that will detect Hydrogen Peroxide (H₂O₂) based hazardous explosives
