Description

This research paper presents data on the investigation conducted to assess the degree of awareness and proficiency gap amongst construction experts on construction 4.0, South West, Nigeria. Globally, knowledge and proficiency of workers are considered key factors for quality delivery of construction projects. The construction industry is enthusiastic about implementing the modern technologies of the fourth industrial revolution into their operations. Consequently, the implementation of these technologies necessitates assessing the level of awareness and proficiency gap of the experts towards building the needed capabilities in the workforce. Data were collected using survey research design. Convenience sampling technique was adopted to select the respondents. Quantitative method with the use of closed ended questionnaire was used to collect the data. Cronbach Alpha test was used to confirm the validity of the questionnaire, which proved that the instrument were reliable. Descriptive analyses were conducted to interpret and give further explanation of the data collected and this present opportunity for further analyses.
