Description

This paper is to investigate the mining labor mobility in Australia. The purpose of this data provides a useful in-depth analysis of mining employment such as Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) during the different economic cycles in Australia. The dataset also explains the movement of mining workers from one sector to another.

Steps to reproduce

The data was mainly collected from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). For earlier dates prior to 1980, the data is manually collected from the past released hardcopy document is used.
