Mindset, Emotions, and Academic performance: A Structural Equation Modeling Analysis
Description
1. Raw Dataset This file contains the anonymized raw data collected from 425 junior and senior high school students for the study examining the relationships between mindset, academic emotions, and academic performance. Variables include responses to the 16-item Mindset Scale, the Short Academic Emotions Questionnaire for Filipinos (S-AEQ-F), and students’ General Weighted Average (GWA). All identifying information has been removed.

Steps to reproduce
The dataset can be reproduced by importing the anonymized raw data file into statistical software such as SPSS, AMOS, or R. Descriptive statistics and reliability analyses are first conducted for all variables. Reverse-coded items in the Mindset Scale are recoded prior to scoring. Composite scores for mindset and academic emotions subscales are computed by calculating mean scores. Structural Equation Modeling is then performed to test direct and mediated relationships among mindset, academic emotions, and academic performance. Model fit is evaluated using standard indices including chi-square, CFI, TLI, RMSEA, GFI, and NFI, following conventional criteria.
