Description

This dataset is used and cited in the manuscript "A Double Disturbed Lunar Plasma Wake", Journal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics (2020). The Amitis hybrid-PIC code (Fatemi et al., 2017) is used here to model the lunar wake response to a passing CME while the Moon is crossing the geomagnetic tail. The data is composed of simulation results using nominal solar wind conditions and the double disturbed upwind boundary conditions extracted from ARTEMIS spacecraft data during the initial CME arrival.
