Description

This study aimed to assess the accessibility and utilization of adolescent-friendly healthcare services in four districts of Bangladesh (Tangail, Gazipur, Jamalpur, Khulna) from 2017 to 2019. The research focuses on the health and wellbeing of adolescents by evaluating key areas such as reproductive health services, nutritional support, counseling, and awareness regarding important issues like the legal age of marriage and contraceptive use. The study's findings contribute to understanding how healthcare services can be tailored to better meet the needs of adolescents, and help inform future policy decisions to improve adolescent health outcomes in Bangladesh. The data captures key demographic parameters such as age groups (10–14 years, 15–19 years), sex (male, female), and marital status (married, unmarried). The variables captured in the dataset include: Number of adolescents receiving services from healthcare facilities ; Number of adolescents provided with Iron and Folic Acid ; Number of adolescents treated for Reproductive Tract Infections (RTI) or Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) ; Number of adolescents receiving counseling for RTI/STI ; Number of adolescents receiving counseling on changes during puberty and adolescence ; Number of adolescent girls using sanitary napkins ; Number of adolescent girls aware of the legal age of marriage; Number of adolescents categorized as underweight; Number of adolescents referred from educational institutions; Number of adolescents referred from adolescent clubs or other sources; Number of sexually active adolescents using contraceptive methods.
