Iranian-Afghan relations represent one of the most significant aspects of Iran's foreign engagement that Iran, during the Pahlavi era, sought to improve and maintain in alignment with the Shah's overarching strategy to preserve his throne and continue international outreach. Afghanistan’s importance to Iran during the Pahlavi period was multifaceted, encompassing economic, political, and social ties. This study aims to elucidate the economic dimension of these relations based on various documents from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
