Description

The objective of the work was to review the functional morphology and growth of seedlings of six tropical species useful for restoration. The experiment was carried out under nursery conditions. data on plant height and basal diameter were collected, relative growth rates were obtained and these data were used to apply a repeated measures analysis of variance.

Steps to reproduce

This study was undertaken to evaluate tropical species: Calophyllum brasiliense, Bravaisia integerrima, Roseodendron donnell-smithii, Piscidia piscipula, Enterolobium cyclocarpum, and Dialium guianense. The seeds were disposed in a completely randomized design under conditions of 50% shading, analyzed by repeated measures. In the experiment, growth was evaluated for the first six months after germination, and seedling morphology and phyllotaxis were described. The parameters stem height (SH) y SH relative growth rate (SRGR), stem basal diameter (BD) y BD relative growth rate (DRGR), number of juvenile leaves, as well as survival was recorded. Regression curves were generated with the SH and BD data
