Description

This dataset comprises four MS Excel files of students' achievements, attitudes, and classroom practices in quantum physics course at the University of Rwanda College of Education (UR-CE). Achievement and conceptual understanding data were collected using fortified standard Quantum Physics Conceptual Survey (QPCS), with researchers four blackbody radiation questions, 24 original QPCS, and four questions from Quantum Mechanics Conceptual Survey (QMCS) related to the total energy of a particle and the probability of finding a particle. Attitude data were collected using researchers' own created Quantum Physics Attitude Test (QPAT), while classroom observation was done with a standard Classroom Observation Protocol for Undergraduate STEM (COPUS). Some data were collected during the baseline study done on one group of students who have learnt quantum physics course from 21/08/2019 to 20/11/2019. While other data were collected from two groups of students. The control group was taught by lecture method, and the experimental group was taught using multimedia-aided approach. These data were collected from 28/01/2022 to 01/04/2022.
