Data for: A Study of Cheating Beliefs, Engagement, and Perception - The Case of Business and Engineering Students
The questions in the survey were designed in order to capture several aspects; thus, the survey was divided into three parts. In the first part, data about the student were gathered, including his/her major, gender, GPA, the level of the student (freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior), and whether he/she had taken the business ethics course, which is offered at the three universities. In the second part we wanted to measure and compare the past behavior and attitudes of the students with regard to cheating on exams, quizzes, and assignments. In the third part, we presented the student with three different hypothetical scenarios. Surveys were distributed to business and engineering students on campus at three private universities in Lebanon. Two of these universities are the top-ranked universities in the country. A total of 819 surveys were filled out.
