Description

This dataset accompanies the paper published in JGR: Earth Surface that carries the same title. It contains data that was used to produce Grain Size Distribution plots and to program and data used to model the residence time of surficial sand in the studied area. It also denotes the exact locations of the pits mentioned in the paper. Grain size distribution of 54 samples collected in pits in the Chobe Enclave. Data was obtained by using a laser diffraction Beckmann Coulter LS 13320 on the <2 mm size fraction of carbonate and organic matter-free material. analyses performed at the University of Lausanne by T. Mokatse. The manual and applications of the Cosmolian program, Created by S.Vainer and Y. Ben Dor are available in 1) https://doi.org/10.1016/j.quageo.2018.08.002 2)https://doi.org/10.1002/esp.5169
