Description

A new hydrological modelling dataset is available for the Upper Murray River basin - UMB (Australia) and Rapel River basin – RAB (Chile). This dataset provides valuable information about natural system forcings (e.g. precipitation, air temperature), internal processes (energy-mass balances), and responses (e.g. runoff generation, and irrigation requirement estimated for four selected crops: Pastures, Winter Wheat, Warm Grapes, and Maize). The daily-orthogonal model (1 Km) is representative of two periods (historical: 1985 to 2015, and downscaled projections: 2000 to 2100), built upon four General Circulation Models (GCM) and following two extreme Representative Concentration Pathways (RCP8.5 and RCP2.6). This dataset was thought to support the evaluation of agricultural adaptation to climate change in contrasting sub-alpine systems. Both the dataset (MATLAB output files) and GRASS GIS exporting scripts are provided.
