Equal allocation stratified sampling was used. 106 responses were collected. The study uses 4 scales- Kuppusamy’s socioeconomic scale, the impulse buying scale by Badgaiyan et al. (2016, a modified Hedonic Shopping Experiences scale by Babin et al. (1994), of which questions pertaining only to hedonic consumption were used, and the Frugal Behaviour Scale by Muiños et al. (2015). Analysis was done through Jamovi and R. Principal Component Analysis was performed on the dimensions of impulse buying. Data collected as yes and no were given 0 and 1 codes as per the scale guidelines. Factor regression was then done across all three variables of impulse buying, hedonic consumption, and frugality.
