Description

The dataset underwent meticulous curation to offer a comprehensive insight into occupant behavior and the indoor environment condition within a specific under-actuated zone. Collection of data took place in a designated student corner room located within the Library of Universitas Trilogi, providing an ideal setting for controlled observational studies. The data acquisition period encompassed the entirety of the fall semester during the academic year 2023/2024, only on September to October 2023, including all weekdays from Monday to Friday. The data collection timeframe was carefully selected from 8 AM to 4 PM to ensure the capture of a diverse range of daily activities. The indoor environmental conditions, including temperature, relative humidity, and air pressure. The designated room, partitioned into three ventilation-based zones, offered a conducive environment for detailed analysis of occupant behavior and environmental variables across distinct spatial contexts. Occupant behavior was meticulously categorized based on a variety of activities, such as sitting, standing, walking, napping, reading, and talking. Furthermore, the dataset provides comprehensive insights into the usage patterns of common appliances within the monitored space, including laptops, cellphones, and headphones, thereby enriching our understanding of occupant interactions with technological devices in the environment. This dataset's meticulous curation adheres to rigorous academic standards, ensuring its reliability and validity for scholarly research endeavors. By capturing a wide spectrum of occupant behaviors and environmental parameters over an extended timeframe, the dataset serves as a valuable asset for researchers and scholars keen on unraveling the intricate dynamics between human occupants and indoor environments.

Steps to reproduce

The dataset was meticulously assembled utilizing a diverse array of instruments, incorporating both indoor and outdoor sensors to meticulously capture vital environmental parameters including temperature, relative humidity, and airflow rate. These sensors were strategically positioned to ensure comprehensive coverage and facilitate thorough monitoring of environmental conditions within the designated study area. Notably, data from these sensors were recorded at five-minute intervals, ensuring a high temporal resolution for detailed analysis. In addition to sensor data, closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras were strategically deployed to record and analyze the behavioral patterns of occupants within the monitored space. This approach enabled detailed observations regarding the presence of occupants and their engagement in various activities. The manual calculation of occupant activity and appliance usage was meticulously conducted at five-minute intervals, further enhancing the granularity of the dataset.
