Description

Individual, monthwise data on the occurrence of injury in Nepal gray langurs (Semnopithecus schistaceus) and Phayre's leaf monkeys (Trachypithecus phayrei crepusculus). For each species two data sets are provided (i) adult-subadult individuals including information on absence-presence of injury, group, sex, age category, mating season, reproductive state (females only), number of same-sexed competitors, number of observation days and (ii) immature individuals including absence-presence of injury, sex, age, group, number of observation days. Predictions tested and results can be found in Feder JA, Lu A, Koenig A, Borries C. The costs of competition: Injury patters in two Asian colobine monkeys, to appear in the journal Behavioral Ecology.
