Description

Structural data was obtained from monocomponent melt-spun and offline drawn poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) monofilaments and melt-spun bicomponent core-sheath PET-polyamide 6 (PET-PA6) fibers. The data comprises: Raman maps of filament cross-sections, attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) spectra, wide-angle x-ray diffraction (WAXD) patterns and azimuthal- and radial profiles, small-angle x-ray scattering (SAXS) patterns, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) curves and an atomic force microscopy (AFM) image of an embedded fiber cross-section.
