Description

In 2017, our group assembled the Leishmania infantum (JPCM5) genome [Gonzalez-de la Fuente, S., Peiro-Pastor, R., Rastrojo, A., Moreno, J., Carrasco-Ramiro, F., Requena, J.M., and Aguado, B. (2017). Resequencing of the Leishmania infantum (strain JPCM5) genome and de novo assembly into 36 contigs. Sci Rep 7, 18050.] The fasta file of this genome may be downloaded through the following Mendeley data: Requena, Jose M. (2021), “LINF_Genome sequence”, Mendeley Data, V1, doi: 10.17632/rb34cg9xk7.1. Here, I am uploading the alignment of the Illumina DNA-seq reads generated during the genome assembly. This information may serve for checking the quality of the assembled genome and searching for sequence polymorphisms.

Steps to reproduce

These files may be visualized using a genome viewer such as IGV. Steps: 1. Load genome file (Mendeley data: Requena, Jose M. (2021), “LINF_Genome sequence”, Mendeley Data, V1, doi: 10.17632/rb34cg9xk7.1) 2. Load the .bam file, and be sure that the .bai file is in the same folder
