Data to the manuscript entitled “A Review of the Trend and Potential Contribution of TikTok Features Serving as a Pedagogical Strategy for Foreign Language Classrooms”. Each entry in the dataset corresponds to the research questions that are addressed in the manuscript, presented along with the data extracted from different literature included in the review. The data include: (1) general info of the included literature: title, author(s), year of publication, name of journal, research location, sample group, research design; (2) the trend of using TikTok features as a pedagogical strategy in different foreign language classrooms: types of foreign/second language learning, educational context, language skills, TikTok features, pedagogical strategies using the TikTok features; and (3) effectiveness and potential contribution.
