Description

72 primary knee OA patients were given either any one of following four groups: combined (active tDCS/active TENS); tDCS alone (active tDCS/sham TENS); TENS alone (sham tDCS/active TENS); (sham tDCS/sham TENS). Outcome variables were pain (visual analog scale); function (6-minute walk test); disability (KOOS_ knee injury osteoarthritis outcome score). Total duration of intervention was 6 weeks (first week 5 sessions, remaining 5 weeks 3 sessions a week).
