Interactive Tactile Feedback Dataset for Real-Time E-commerce Experimentation
Description
This dataset captures cursor behavior in an experimental tactile e-commerce environment, focusing on how interactions with virtual textures affect tactile sensations. The data were collected along a predefined cursor trajectory, which is essential for modeling and simulating the touch experience in e-commerce platforms with haptic feedback. Dataset Structure The dataset contains 160 records across the following columns: Time: The timestamp (in seconds), indicating the temporal position of the cursor along the trajectory. Speed: The cursor speed (in pixels per second) varies based on interaction with different virtual textures. Frequency: Vibration frequency (in Hz) represents the intensity of tactile sensation as it correlates to texture type and interaction speed. Duty Cycle: The Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) duty cycle (in %) adjusts vibration intensity to simulate texture variations. Purpose and Application This dataset supports the development of e-commerce systems that integrate Tactile Internet, enabling detailed analyses of how speed, frequency, and duty cycle settings impact tactile perception in virtual environments. It is essential for studies on realism in tactile interactions and applications in online shopping simulations with sensory feedback.
