The growing diversity in the US population underscores the need for dermatologists to be proficient in managing dermatological issues in ethnic skin. However, studies reveal that many dermatology residents lack confidence in treating skin of color patients due to limited exposure in this area. To address this gap, we established a quarterly journal club for dermatology residents and faculty focused on literature specific to skin of color patients. The aim of the survey study was to assess resident confidence level in managing skin of color patients before and after 1 year of journal club intervention.
