Description

Database built from a population survey to measure subjective well-being and self-reported symptoms of three common mental health conditions: stress, anxiety, and depression. The data was collected in 2022 from 1281 participants in a face-to-face survey in Cali, Colombia's third largest city.

Steps to reproduce

Researchers find raw data (excel) and the complete survey in this publication. Data about demographic breakdown of the city's race/ethnicity, gender, and socioeconomic composition. In addition, the survey developed to build the data uses a standardized scale of life satisfaction and affect (emotions experienced the day before) to measure subjective well-being. To measure self-reported stress, the study uses the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10); for anxiety, the 7-item Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale (GAD-7); and to measure symptoms associated with depression, the 9-item Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9).
