Description

Phylogeny of odorant receptor (OR) amino acid sequences inferred under the optimality criterion Maximum Likelihood after 250 bootstrap tree convergence (figure image) and the phylogenetic tree file (newick format). The gene tree was rooted with the ORCo clade. Identified clades (names adopted from Zhou et al. 2015) clustering with at least 70% bootstrap support are labeled alphabetically A to Z, ZA, ORCo, and 9-exon with some entries "Unclassified" (Zhou et al. 2012; Zhou et al. 2015; McKenzie and Kronauer 2018), and another labeled Novel, had not been formally identified in previous studies. The clades exclusively found in species not sampled by us are not indicated here but are shown in Supplementary Figure S4. Results show species-specific expansions of OR gene subfamilies.
