Description

Two 3D models represent two morphological types of Fasciola hepatica eggs: 1) the one with an appendage on the anti-opercular pole; 2) the one without such appendage. Both types can be found during fecal analysis. Specialists should recognise them and use this knowledge in their practice. Eggs of Fascioloides magna also may have appendages. That is why appendage presence cannot serve as a feature to differ two genera of liver flukes. This data set is a Supplement to the original scientific article on Fasciola hepatica, written by Olga Loginova, Boris Efeykin, Anna Krutikova, Ivan Mizin, and Sergei Spiridonov and should be considered only in relation the the article once published.
