The reconstructed GOSAT Level 3 CO2 data with a resolution of 0.5°×0.5° using bicubic
Description
This data shows the distribution of global CO2 concentration. Its spatial coverage is from 60° S to 60° N, and the data resolution is 0.5° × 0.5°. The data was generated by reconstructing GOSAT Level 3 V02.95 (Bias corrected) products using bicubic interpolation. The GOSAT Level 3 V02.95 (Bias corrected) products can be obtained from https://data2.gosat.nies.go.jp/index_ja.html. Compared with the original data, the reconstructed data resolution has been increased from 2.5° to 0.5° without a large loss of accuracy. The data format is NetCDF, and the data field XCO2 is CO2 concentration data.

Steps to reproduce
We obtained the GOSAT Level 3 V02.95 (Bias corrected) products from https://data2.gosat.nies.go.jp/index_ja.html. We do a preprocessing on the data, filling in the missing data with the average of the 8 surrounding data. We used matlab 2016a to reconstructed the GOSAT data based on bicubic interploation to improve the resolution from 2.5° to 0.5°. For the reconstructed GOSAT data, we evaluated it by data from ground station.
